    Strad: Short Piece

    Hi all,

I've spent abunch of time with the stradivari since it arrived a couple of weeks ago.

A truly amazing VI, as if that hasn't already been said a billion times.

Here is a short cue, the chords for which were written by a good friend of mine, and which was arranged using the strad, gigapiano II, and Sonivox's p-bass demo from gs3. Guitars are live, played by my buddy and I.

    It's kind of Union-Station-ish, I guess.

    Hope you like,

    Belbin

Some great work with the expression controller on this, and your non vibrato notes really maximise the effect of the vibrato when it comes in.

Thank you Joe! All's I had to do was wiggle switches and whatnot, and out comes this sound. I don't even think theres any vibrato speed changes on this, which may help, but the instruments ound great in some contexts even without full controller usage.

Nice one! Very smooth. You capture the country-style fiddle playing well.

Only one problem - I'd like to hear the whole song

Maybe it will become a full tune (as far as I know, the progressions written by my friend for this were culled from an actual song of his.) I shall report back.

    Thanks for your kind words.

Geez, I thought I had dialed in the radio there for a minute - ehem, not even a minute - until the music abruptly stopped. That ain't no radio.

It may be intersting to note the feedback from someone who almost never has heard such music - sound'd darn right real enuf to me earz.

What a sound you're getting out of this; and as YBaCuO
    implied... great production.

Belbin, for heaven's sake, do take this forward and complete
the piece for us. Absolutely first-chair work on this!

    My best,

    Belbin,

Wow...that is really nice work there. A very interesting use of the Strad. I hope you continue on with this. Thanks for the sample.
