    Chanson de Jeremy

This is my first composition of the new year. It is basically an adagio for strings.

    William,

Very nice piece - reminded me of some of Tchaikovsky's string writing, and I mean that as a compliment!

At times the section strings sounded a bit blocky; it's a sequencing thing, though. The work itself is very good, and the articulations really helps give the piece a liveliness and spring (is it really an Adagio...?).

Enjoyed it a lot. Hope you get many listens (if that's a verb).

    Beautiful work, William

I was first impressed with the image you have for it on your post, and then was even more impressed with the piece itself. Inspires me to take a breath and compose something more gentle than I generally do. Blood pressure is calming down as I listen again and write this meager Thank You.

Lovely work on this, William; beautiful string writing in
    it, richly Romantic and lush.

A most enjoyable and rewarding adagio.
