I wanted to try some orchestral music, and put down this idea, don't know whether it may develop into something, a ballet maybe? There's this young bride who is imprisoned into an impulse response... silly jokes aside, this passage contains some of the sweetest harmonies I have heard. Long live Stravinsky
I wish it was mine, Larry, but to Cesar what's Cesar's - it's Stravinsky's Firebird ballet suite at number 81... thank you, Lorenzo
Doh! I have heard the Firebird Suite many times through the years but I didn't recognize that particular part. My memory is getting worse each day. Where am I? What year is it? What happened to my eight-track player? Is Harry Truman still president?
just listened to your piece and thought it was great!
great light and shade ( sorry dynamic range ) The fact that you didn't compose it doesn't matter to me but I realise following posts to you and myself. One should say upfront who did just in case hi!
The Soggetti magic touch meets Stravinsky... and they
surely do get on well together.
Some very impressive work in this, Roberto. That you
can handle the instruments is a given. But the interpretation,
especially the dynamic management... that is spot on.
It does not surprise me that musicianship of your calibre
extends into the classics with such facility and ease.
The most striking aspect of this, to me, is the completely
natural feel of the conducting...
