    2 Sound Cards With Giga3

    I have two Mdelta cards; 1010 and 410 fitted to my DAW; I was hoping to use both cards with GigaOrchestra 3.2; has anybody tried this? if so, any success?

    Thanks

    How were you planning on using them?

    I was thinking of using them with one instance of Giga 3 on the same PC;
    now reading the notes I dont think it is possible;
    I needed more outputs; it looks like another DAW has to be built.

    Are you using ASIO? I've never really checked this out. I have a MIA and 2496 with Gigastudio. I always use them is WDM drivers.

    No ASIO; How do you assign both cards to giga; in the hardware page, it is either or.
    I can run both cards; but only one can be assigned to Giga 3.2; The analog inputs show 12 inputs which is a little puzzling seeing only 10 inputs actually exist.

    An Update on this; I have installed a M Audio Delta 1010 and a 1010LT in the one pc. GS3 only recognises the 1st card; Hauptwerk V2 recognises both cards giving me 20 channels of audio.

    Owen,

    As you know, you can install more than delta card in a system, but GS3.21 will only avail of one at a time.

    Your two extra inputs are virtual. Sometimes they appear as "M-Audio (card name) monitor mixer. This is a handy way of routing any audio in the system to an input. Ex: You want to route a DAW track into GS for processing w/ Gigapulse. Send the audio to an unused output, and turn that outputs volume up in the monitor mixer tab of your delta control panel. Select 11/12 as input at the top of the giga channel strip you want to use. IF the input is not available there, enable in in the hardware tab of Giga's system config. The audio will stream into GS for processing and routing in the DSP station.

    Good Luck,
    Belbin
