    Those were great clips! Really fun. However I've seen Shining so many times that even that version was a bit scary :P

    Ok - the Mary Poppins clip was incredible.

    I did not, however, get the other clip. I have not seen the movie; what am I missing?

    The actual film is a horror movie - not a 'feel-good' flick. If The Shining trailer was in the style of the Mary Poppins one that would be a fairer representation.

    So true! Even though so many aspects of the trailer were uplifting, there was still an unsettling undercurrent to it.

    BTW, you can't just credit the score for these trailers. The editor has the primary storytelling power.

    Eh, I disagree about the editor having "primary storytelling power". It started with the editor - no doubt. But what feeling would you have gotten with the original score(s), or something very similar? It is the score that really told the "story" here.

    Just goes to show you, tho - how telling a story with moving images really is a collaborative effort.
