Topic: running tbo

    running tbo

Like many of you? this sample has been gathering dust because I just don't have the power to run it: p4 3.2 and mem (2gigs) w/ the first gen western digital raptor (10k rpm) still doesn't do it. The WD died (as these WDs tend to). So I'm picking up the WD740ADFD 16 mg cache and 5.5 av. seek time. I'm loading the tbo onto this baby. GigaStudio will be running on another WD fast drive.

    That SHOULD work shouldn't it?

I can run it in Kontakt 2 on a P4 3.2 GHz Prescott with 3 GB RAM (2 GB should do it as well) and the samples on a WD Raptor WD1500ADFD 150 GB.

I also run TBO easily on a P4 3.2 Ghz with 2 gigs of RAM. I use Kontakt 2. Other decent-sized instruments (guitar, bass, etc.) can be loaded and playing as well, and only if I add more do I need to start freezing tracks.

P.S. Hard drive is an external 2x500GB 7500 RPM Firewire 800 enclosure.
