Sorry that you see it as spam.

What I find kind of strange though is that there seems to
be some kind of double-standard around here:
Some people can apparently post marketing-stuff (like
group-buys etc) for their own products, but when I
posted a message concerning the Pianoteq groupbuy,
it was deleted almost immediately...
(I have no connection whatsoever with Pianoteq - other
than having taken part at the group-buy!)
After all you don't pay for beeing allowed to post ads, do you?Originally Posted by Tobias Erichsen

anyway, i think, making several threads, which could be incorporated into 1 thread, should be considered as flooding/spamming the forum. Because it's:
1) annoying to read through several commercial selling threads, about the same thing.
2) It doesn't make it any clearer to read it, because it's scattered throughout a forum.
3) see 1 and 2.
I don't want to attack anyone in person. But i just wanted to point out this thought.
I know many more people here think the same way.
Communication is difficult enough, so why make it more difficult by posting things in a scattered/unclear way?

My impression is that paying customers are permitted to publicize their products in this forum, while posts about products by developers who do not pay are not permitted (even by people who are not affiliated with the developer/product, but just want to be helpful to other users of the forum).
Accordingly, if someone posts about a group buy by a seller that does not pay NS, the post is deleted.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
[PS: None of this affects the fact that the Sampletekk group buy is a great opportunity, and the more exposure it gets, the better.]
