I live in southeast Orlando, about 50 miles south of the path of the tornado(es.) We suffered no damage, but the folks north of here weren't so lucky. So far the death toll is quite high (20+) and there were literally thousands of homes damaged or destroyed.

If you'd like to help the Red Cross is probably the best bet. We in Florida appreciate the prayers from those around the Country and the World.

Everything is OK here...we live up north in the Panhandle so were well out of the way. Still, it's sobering to wake up and hear about this kind of thing happening overnight.

    ...take care,
    Jim

Yes...New Smyrna Beach was right on the path, looks like no fatalities there, however. The following link describes all three storms in some detail=>

Pretty scary stuff considering that they struck in the early morning hours when no one would be expecting them or listening to severe weather warnings! And as usual I was clueless...didn't turn on the TV on Saturday so I didn't hear of any of this until late Sunday.

Wow...if we don't have an El Nino year then we get hurricanes, but if we do have El Nino then we get tornadoes. Michigan sounds like a good choice!!!

    Take care all...
