    Internet Explorer 7

    Has anyone with Finale 2007 and the full GPO installed Internet Explorer 7. I did a couple of months ago and I began to have low memory issues with full orchestra Finale files when using the full GPO.

    I am have serious Internet Explorer 6 script error problems and may have to upgrade to IE7 since MS only has an older version of IE6 than th one I have. When I try to down load IE6 or a service pack for it; the installation stops.

    I would seriously suggest using Firefox, you can find it here;

    It is far superior to IE of any version.

    Seriously, I would agree with Tony Samantha. I have been using both Mozilla Firefox and Opera browsers and they leave IE behind. There have been a few 'head to head' tests and reviews over the past year and IE came last in all of them. A Google search should find you a few reviews, here's one example.

    Add me too. I almost never open IE. Firefox is the way to go!

    Re: Internet Explorer 7

    I've seen some problems on some machines with IE7 in that it slows down the whole machine.
    On a PC it can be removed using add/remove programs.
    I've removed it from 4 or 5 PCs with no problems at all.
    IE 6 will be there in it's place.

    There is a way to do a repair install of IE6, but it's a registry hack.
    Here's the microsoft instructions.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378

    I've done this one many times and I think I only had a problem 1 time in that the browser was still messed up after the reinstall.

    I kind of agree that FireFox is great, but I still use IE6 most of the time for business reasons, needing to be viewing the web like 90% of the world is viewing it.

    Thanks everyone. I use AT &T Yahoo browser. The issue I was having was solved by tech support at AT&T. I glad That I did not have to instal IE7. That is a last ditch effort for me, but glad I didn't from what I've read here.
