    OT: Sound Forge 8 Question

I was thinking of updating to SF8. I downloaded the trial. They still do not have a "save Selection As" function. What I mean is, you highlight a section/portion of a linear session and you save only the highlited section of that wav as it's own file. Does anyone know if this can be done in SF8? I know WaveLab can but it's hard copy only (no purchase then download) and I need this function yesterday.

You can copy the selection, open a new window and paste it.

Really all you need to do is drag the highlighted section out of its window and it will automatically open a new file in a new window. Then just save that. It takes two clicks.

Very cool. Thanks for the tip. It works in SF7 also.

Right. That's what I have been doing. I was hoping to save that extra step. Thanks everyone.
