    The Spirit World

    Well, I wanted your guys' opinion on this one...mostly, does it feel like it was cut short?

    This is the second movement in my Werewolf: the Forsaken suite, entitled Hisil (the Spirit World). It's short (only about 3 minutes).

    This is a very lovely work. I like its sections of simplicity and also some very nice ensembles. The GPO really makes makes it shine.

    As for being cut short, I guess it could have been developed a little longer. But then again I like the way it did end, not rushed and to completeness.

    I agree. I'm going to have to listen to it a bit more. Still, something in me tells me I've already said all I need to say with this piece. Perhaps I'll revisit moments of the various themes in the later movements.

    Same for me as Tom_Davis. The quicktime slider jumps from begininning to end in about 3 seconds and I hear nothing.

    Looking forward to it though.

    Foss, there's some really sharp color writing in this;
    especially that opening, which I found very effective.
    (And you know I'm a sucker for bottom-feeding with
    the woodwinds... lol.)

    I think the one thing I might look more at is a bit
    more smoothness in transitions -- and often, this
    is a case of handling dynamics with a little more
    finesse, holding back tempi a little and then swinging
    forward with it, etc.
