Anybody doing wild stuff with Keymap yet?

I have to say that I haven't had the time to dig into it; but simply taking a folder full of audio files such as licks, effects, or drum loops, and dragging+dropping them to make an exs Instrument takes about a minute; doing it via the exs Editor is quite a bit slower.

I actually like to set up exs Instruments for all my Apple Loops. That way I can audition them "by hand", trying out various combinations, etc, which is often more comfortable than using the rather cumbersome Loop Browser.

Keymap is deeeeep.....I'm looking forward to exploring it but the next deadline is creeping nearer ;-)

I have been swamped lately and I am not really a "wild stuff" kind of guy.

What I HAVE done is taken a bunch of samples that were given me, regular notes, trills, and ornaments, and in about 5 minutes was able to map them by velocity, assign keyswitching and the ability to change between the trills and ornaments by mod wheel position.

That would have taken me forever in the EXS Instrument Editor.

Hopefully people will continue to update us on this product. It looks very cool!

A bit late to the party but nonetheless...

I recently bought Quantum Leaps Rare Instruments (on sale for $19.95! GET IT!) in Giga-format. The conversion to EXS went pretty smooth but somethings like the modwheel filtering some patches (for example the Duduk) didn't make it.

Well, loaded it up in Keymap and tweaked it for a few seconds and everything worked out great.

I guess that's what I'm gonna use Keymap for. Combining "old" samples with new ones and building custom patches of all the libraries I've got.

And, I must say. The support from Andrea is absolutely top notch!

I cannot find it on the East-West site. Do you have a link?
