Did I Tell You (JABB Pop tune)

Here is a song I wrote when I first met my wife. She emailed me with a letter that basically said, "Did I tell you... oh Did I tell you... etc." So I turned it into this song for her. At the time she didn't know I was a musician (Well, maybe I'm not, but she loves it) I hope you enjoy it too!

This is my first recording using Finale 07 to create the midi file and then using my new Sonar Home Studio 6XL to realize the file. I used the Garritan Pocket Orchestra for the strings, Garritan Jazz Band for the rhtyhm section and the sax. The drum part is Sonar Home Studios "Session Drummer" where you can "paint" in the part.

Nice tune, William... sneaking up on a woman with
    a romantic melody is a tried-and-true approach
(not that I've ever done that, myself, of course).

I wonder if you might consider trading off that
lead with, oh, I don't know, lush violins, some
flutes, whatever, to enhance the variety along
    the way a bit...?

    My best,

Good ideas. Yes, I think I may do that. I just did a "quick and dirty" mix to see how my new HS 6XL would work. So I thought I'd share this with the community. (I didn't do much work to get my file to sound this way - )

Thanks for the comments and listening.

That's a great song. I love it. And I like the drums in it too.
The strings are topnotch as well.

Thank you MaestroJosh. It was a quick mix and I am taking EtLux's advice and "lushing-up" the melodic line. Soon I will post it here.
