Happy Paddy's Day with the Straddy

    Happy Saint Patrick's Day

To all our Irish friends (we all have a Wee Bit O' Irish in us on this day)

May these Irish Blessings bring an Irish smile across the miles ta ye all.

An Irish Jig With the Strad:

Note: Strad intentional performed "poorly" and it get worse as he consumes more ale.
Thanks Robert for the Strad violin demo and Sean for making the flash video

    May these Irish Blessings bring
an Irish smile across the miles ta ye all
    .

    May your blessings outnumber
    The shamrocks that grow,
    And may trouble avoid you
    Wherever you go.

    May luck be our companion
May friends stand by our side
    May history remind us all
    Of Ireland's faith and pride.
May God bless us with happiness
    May love and faith abide.

    When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure it's like a morning spring.
You can hear the angels sing
    When Irish hearts are happy
All the world seems bright and gay
And when Irish eyes are smiling
Sure, they steal your heart away.

Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening,
And live everyday as if it were your last.

Feel free to post your Irish Blessing and may the luck of the Irish be with you!

Happy St Pat everyone! Whether you celebrate with a Guiness or just have some Green Tea, or mow the lawn, or make some green (have to work), may you stay safe, have good luck and good health, and may God shower you, your family and all your friends with blessings of prosperity, peace and happiness.

*lol* I hate to say it, but the demos of the Strad playing "poorly" still impress me more than anything. They achieve a level of humanness that I haven't heard from anything else, intentional or not!

Oh, and I know it's the oldest one in the book, but:

"May you be in heaven five minutes before the devil knows you're dead!!"

Love the Strad. It's interesting that playing poorly makes something more realistic. Here one of my favorite Irish sayings

'May those who love us, love us.

And for those who don't love us,

    May God turn their hearts.

And if he can not turn their hearts,

    May he turn their ankles,

So we may know them by their limping.

May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.'

    I love this "Irishism"..
Q:"Which way to the High Street, please?"
A:"I'm, sorry, I'm afraid you can't get there from here."

If you want a violin that will fancy us,
And music assured to carry us,
Then I'll swear, to the letter,
    You can't do any better
    Than the Solo Violin Stradivarius

The Strad is not hard to play
So practice and practice all day
    If you're not a quitter
    You're sure to get better
Or, at least, that's what they all say!
