    Prelude

    An update of my 3rd entry last summer.
    Modifications hopefully pull themes together better.
    My question is; are themes developed enough; are some developments too short; is the work cohesive thru-out?
    Thanks,
    Gary

    I'm not the one to answer your questions but I liked it and found it interesting music.

    Thanks Phil,
    I'm just on a search to "get it right."
    The true test beyond form and substance is probably whether or not you like a piece.

    Re: Prelude

    Gary, there's good material in this, and the cohesion
    is serviceable -- it holds together well. I think perhaps
    I would look for more contrast in the development;
    there is a sense of sameness -- dynamically, rhythmically,
    harmonically -- that tends, to my ear, to keep the
    material more static than its potential merits.

    My best,
