How do you get voices to sound electronic as in trance music, etc.

I need to do this for a project and I'm not sure how to proceed. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Could you be more specific?

    You could try a vocoder.

The quick and easy way is to run it through the dreaded Auto-Tune, set to maximum.

Of course, this effect is now right up there with the gated snare reverb, the reverse reverb, and the telephone vox... so please use it with uncommon taste and restraint.

geeze like what, I mean what style?
    Just you Vocoder
be creative though and cut up your audio then paste it and add different fx to each one then put that audio back to gether with all those different fx on different phrases of the melody vocal you chopped up^_-
also add flanger and delay effect man there is just to much to write on this seriously!

Electronic voices. Try Vocaloid. I think it'll be just about perfect for that.
    Cantor 2 is another option.

If you have Kontakt 2, you could also sample the vocal portion and run it throught the "Time Machine" or "Tone Machine" and the adjust the formant parameters and so on...
But I use Vokator mostly (NI Vocorder) for that kinda stuff...
