    Finale Help

I don't understand any of the tutorials for Finale.

I tried reinstalling it and GPO won't come up under my Midi Out section.

    Can somebody PLEASE help me?

    Hey Sarge,

Help us out with some more information about your system. That way, we can help you.

What platform are you using, and what Operating System?
Which version of Finale are you using?
Are you trying to use the GPO that came with Finale, or the full version that is purchased separately?

Having answered those questions, we should be able to give some more helpful, direct guidance that will get you making music sooner!

    Re: Finale Help

    I'm on Windows XP SP2

I'm using Finale 2006 while using the GPO purchased seperately.

I'm sorry for not being specific.

    OK Sarge,

I'm not going to be able to help you. I trust that one of our Windows users will jump in soon with some help for you.

Have you tried the MakeMusic Windows user forum?

    http://forum.makemusic.com/

Check this area out, too, on the Garritan page.

    Re: Finale Help

    copy

    PersonalOrchestraVST.DLL

    and

    GarritanAmbience.DLL

    to your Finale/VST Plugins folder

GPO will not appear in the MIDI out options, it will appear in
"MIDI -> play Finale through Native Instruments VST"

    Re: Finale Help

Okay thank you for that. It really helped.

Now, I'm having trouble because finale keeps closing due to an error AND I'm not sure how to set the VST instrumentation because it's channels 1-16, 17-32...ect.

How does that possibly work with GPO in terms of scoring (let's say 3 trumpets, 2 horns, 3 trombones/baritone, tuba)?
