The circus is coming to town! Fun stuff, Larry, energetic and confident --the hallmark of your work. Thanks for the music!

    Larry,

You have a very recognizable sound and style. The somewhat-baroque, somewhat-ragtime (they are closer than one might think) combination seems to work effortlessly for you. Well, effortless in the sense of writing, not in the sense of all the mouse clicks...

In this piece I do wonder about the use of the harpsichord. Too often, for me, the harpsichord in a more modern language takes on either a humerous or Addams-family like quality. Don't get me wrong - I love the instrument, but wonder about it in other contexts. Here, I wonder if a piano might be a better choice? Just a thought.

    Anyway, enjoyed it.

Hope things on the health front are going well.

I did initially try piano but it just didn't seem to meld with the horn and other instruments as did the harpsi--my personal taste, of course.

My health is not good but, after all, I AM old.

Thanks for listening and commenting, Mr. Ron.

    Regards,

Really got into the marching band genre listening to this one, Larry. Liked the harpsi background, but also the change of rhythm effect shortly after the 3m mark.

This piece moves along really well.

    Larry,

Well, Jack liked the harpsichord, so that'll show me...

As to being old - you are only as old as you feel. The problem is that my knees and feet want to race ahead of my years.

    Here's to feeling well.

    All the best,

    Mr. Jack, Mr. Jack,

How are things in the land of fruits and nuts and Hollywood and movie stars and other things? Can you believe that it snowed yesterday (April 7) here in the sunny South?

I am pleased that you liked my horn stuff. Thank you for the kind words.
