I love this piece, it is a thrill to hear it with GPO and the touch of your magic!

Very nice indeed, it made me go back and listen to my short extract of it using JABB soprano sax for the melody and think I should have carried on and completed it without the vocal chorus from the version I listened to.
I know how good your mixing and recording is, so I'm happy to get close.

just wait for the Garritan voices to come out and you're all set!

BTW, it was nice to see you take the Pavane at a nice tempo... I am SO tired of hearing it played like a funeral march.

I stopped reconfiguring my new system and listened to this piece.
You said you did this by ear. I am jealous about your so wonderful shaped ears. This is really nice and wonderful. As in the other replies: the tempo is rather nice and NOT a funeral march, although this piece often is used for funerals... I think nobody can do the same with music as you do.

Thank you for putting this on the forum,

Gee Dan, the opening melody is fabulous - how did you get the Strad to sound so much like a flute?

As always, your rendering is superb. The attention to detail is a great lesson for all of us - you show us what is possible, and for that you have our/my thanks.
But darnit - you keep raising the bar. I was about to get a stool to reach it, but now I need a very long ladder...

    All the best,

Warm and wonderful--makes me say "MMmmmmmmmmm!"

What a joy it is to hear a piece executed with such confidence and delicacy, with such sensitive breathing of the dynamics, and just the right touch to the reverb and other technical elements.

It's such a lovely composition too--Oh my, and revitalized in your rendition.

Thanks for the perfect first thing to hear this morning, Dan!
