How to purge unsused samples

I can't figure out how to do this. I see the purge menu, but it just removes all samples. Anybody care to give me a step-by-step walk-through?

I tried that - and half of the samples in use in my sequence are missing.

When you "update sample pool", only the samples, that Kontakt has played (and set markers at), are retained. You need to play the entire piece to retain all necessary samples in memory.
