Or, to quote Pontius Pialate, "quod scripsi, scripsi".
I always wondered exactly what Ponty meant by that
crack ("What I've written, I've written")...
Rather curiously, I'm currently working on a piece that
began with the working title of Trois Femmes Nues; but
three was more than I could handle, so I've cut back
to just one. Nonetheless, skin is apparently "in".
Badinage aside, Richard, this is one of the loveliest
pieces you've written, with its lively, waltzing lyricism
and a quite tonal feel to it. Yet, it is indisputably,
clearly, characteristically Wayland.
It's always a pleasing wonderment where your style
will take us, my friend; and I've listened several
times through this one with much delight.
