Hello, I am currently running GPO in Cubase Studio 4 on an iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHz with 1gb of RAM. The problem is that when I try to run even a small/medium size orchestra (and with no others programs running except Cubase,) almost all of my memory is consumed leaving my computer very slow, which gives me a lot of problems with playback/recording. I am running the default settings in the Kontakt player. Does anyone have any suggestions for decreasing the amount of memory I am using (any settings within the Kontakt player I can chage,) or is a memory upgrade necessary? If an upgrade is the answer, would 2GB total RAM suffice, or would 3GB be the way to go?
I think 2 GB should work fine. I just upgraded myself to 2 GB and though I haven't really gotten down and dirty with it all, it should be good. though 3 GB if you can go that route of course would be better, but not necessary i dont think.
