It's being sold by Sonivox at a price of $2,500.

Yes, I read a lot about this and I saw the price tag. Sorry if the following sounds a bit "ranty" (Nothing against the great guys behind Sonivoxmi!).

BBB seems to run on a modified HalionPlayer engine. Now considering the amount of problem myself and others had with that particular Steinberg product, I advise every customer to think twice before buying this. The fullblown Halion might be great, the Player version was never rid of show stopping bugs and performance problems though (From my experience this is common for all Steinberg products).

Personally I never was able to get TrueStrike 1 (utilizing the same engine) to perform reliably enough to be used in an actual piece of music. This was only resolved by upgrading to the Kontakt version of TS1.

I wish for Sonivox and their customers that their HalionPlayers is a better product than the one I had to experience.

The Halion Player has came a long way since then, I have BBB installed on several machines and am yet to run into any issues.

The same here. TS1 and Halion player was really a match made in hell. Halion player and the extravagant price make getting this library rather challenging. That's a shame as the demos sound extremely nice.

This was only resolved by upgrading to the Kontakt version of TS1.
Kontakt 2 is my preferred sampler and now I'm very happy with TS1 except that there are programming faults and the sample paths don't work. I can fix those myself so I don't miss Halion one bit.

It sounds good, but I'm not sure it sounds $2500 good...
