GPO not responding to MIDI volume!!!!! Why oh why?...

    Hi all,

I've just resintalled GPO after a hard drive failure and it won't respond to MIDI volume changes from my M-Audio Keystation 61es and from CubaseSX.

    BUT here's the kicker...

When I install my original copy from the three CDs I got in 2005, GPO responds quit well to MIDI volume data from the keyboard.

It's when I install the 2005 update from the NI website that it stops responding the my MIDI volume slider AND the Cubase MIDI mixer.

(Before the crash everything used to work fine.)

So I don't know what I am doing wrong here and I desperately need help from all of you technologically more savvy individuals!!

    Hi,

I regularly get this problem if I use the instruments in the X-Folder and forget about the slider. Here is what I do for most instruments: Set the drop-down menu to cc01 and set the slider to - 100 %. Hope this helps.

My guess is, Kontakt Player | Options | "use std. CC#7/CC#10 volume & pan" got unchecked during the update.

    Ah YEAH!

Victory, it worked! Thanks Nickie!! (and thanks Hannes as well!)

And you know, I had tried slecting the "volume and pan" option before and it didn't work, so I delelected it.

Then I tried it again when you recommended it. It didn't work at first, but but I thought "let's reboot the system and see what happens..."

...and there you go, we have contact!

    Back in business!

I cannot thank you guys enough!!!
