Dan Dean Woodwinds: Any demos anywhere?

Curious about this library but have yet to hear a demo anywhere. Anyone have a link to some demos?

    Thanks.

I have the ww lite. I don't think there is a separte sample for every note and (if I remember correctly) there are fewer velocity layers. Compared to the ww bundled with Kontakt 2, they are less breathy and less colored, more like those in GPO. I like that, so I can put in whatever reverb and processing I like in Sonar. I use them sometimes.

I think you'll find that no one library will please you with every instrument. It's probably best to buy several and select the most appropriate instruments for the project.

    Hi Michael,

Here are some direct links to demos:

These feature DDSS (not the new DD Solo Strings ADVANCED)
    DD Solo Woodwinds
    DD Solo Brass

This features the DD Solo Woodwinds &
DD Solo Brass Solo French Horn:

This features the DD Solo Woodwinds:

I repaired some links/files at my site so these are now available.

For your information, here is an excel file that clearly shows how many samples and presets are contained in my libraries. Please note that most libraries did not use the Nemesys/Giga compression which made the instruments a lot smaller and more powerful. This was an "on the fly" compression and saved as much as 35% or so, depending on the material.

In the DD Solo Woodwinds, most instruments are captured in 6 layers per note with very smooth velocity switching. There's nothing "abrupt" from one layer to the next.

In the DD Solo Brass, most instruments have been captured in 8 layers per note, again with very smooth velocity switching.

In the DD Brass Ensembles everything was captured in 8 velocity layers in a monastery in both close and distant perspectives with release triggers to preserve the reverb tails.

Here's a piece I did a few years ago that features the Dan Dean bassoon. I was using GigaStudio.
