Jazz Trio Demo: Which piano sounds better?

This is a bit of jazz improvisation that I put together and I'd like your opinion regarding which piano sounds better. The only difference between these sequences is the piano sample.

I used Stormdrum for the drum kit and Larry Seyer Upright Acoustic Bass for the bass.

Even if your taste is mostly for mainstream jazz, please give it a listen and let me know which piano you like better.

Piano #1. Much fuller range of frequencies, much better presence. Looks like a unanimous concensus so far.

I agree with piano #1 and that the mix sounds different...almost a dry vs wet piano comparison...although they are not the same piano in any case.

Do you have a 6' on the first one and a 9' on the second? The one on the first one sounds better to me, like it is better suited for this music.

    Marko,
    Piano 1 for me.
It sounds like it has a little more bite and attack to it.

The first sequence uses the Steinway from EWQLSO (found in the percussion F mics section); the second piano is the Bosendorfer 290.

Thanks for checking this out and commenting.
