Exclamation Has This Ever Happened To You?

I was working in a file where I had written about 245 measures. Everything was working just fine until a few minutes ago. It had several measures with layered notes. I used only layer 1 for most. I used layer 4 when I need rhythmic variation within the measure. This is normal and the correct procedure in Finale. In this file the problem is that when I click on layer 1 all of the notes of layer 4 disappear. When I click on layer 4 all the notes in layer 1 disappear.

Has this ever happened to anyone reading this post?

Do you have "show active layer only" activated by any chance? (I'm not sure where it's located, but I think it's in the "view" menu.)

EDIT: I was wrong. It's in the Document menu (at least on Finale 2007).

Yes Dan I did. I actually never knew that you could do this in Finale. I'm still learning my way around. I now really like the little hidden bugger. Thanks for the response.
