Hello, Ray--Great to see you back, and in such fine fettle.---(what IS fettle?--well, whatever it is, your fettle is sounding fine).

Very aptly titled tune, lazily winding around a laid back, meandering progression, and sounding so grooved out and happily mellow. Very nice, my friend. Excellent recording of well played performances.

Do you think your guest star, Mr. Clarinet, might have a little bit brighter spotlight?--as in moving a bit closer to us? Perhaps, it seemed to me.

Really good track, Ray, thanks for it.

    Ahhhhh! Clarinet

My favorite instrument. I remember playing a few licks like that. Nice and sweet, lazy to the bone.

I agree with Randy, though. Just a little more presence on the clarinet man. I am partial, though, so don't take any offense to my desire to hear mor of Mr. Clarinet.

I really like the piece. Laid back is a good thing. "Yawn" well I guess that makes me ready for bed. But, in a great way. Thanks for sharing this. mmmm, how sweet it is!

Nice laid back music. You have a good sound going here.

Maybe Mr Clarinet is just a little shy and is hiding behind the bass player.

Tuesday morning. Went to bed on monday very, very late. Got up one hour ago. First coffee and next the Listening Room with Lazy Soul. Very appropriate. And very good too..... to get started. What a piece!!! Great I think I'll have the JABB very soon, somewhere laying around some 20 pieces ready to get rendered for/with JABB.

Thank you for posting...... isn't this wonderful, this early Jazz lesson.

I've bowed to popular demand and hired Mr. Clarinet.
The re-recording is complete and posted

Now, at I'm talking about. WOW! I love the balance. The clarinet is right there in the mix with the sax. I'm impressed with your writing and control of JaBB. This is a great little tune Ray!

    Hi! Rich,

Thanks for both your posts - I took the hint and gave him his place Mr. clarinet.

A very cool sound ray. I like it. The guitar sounds good also. What did you do to get the strumming effect? Is it JABB guitar? The clarinet is tastefully done too.
