    Old typewriter sound samples?

    Hi everyone,

I would like to know where could I find an old typewriter soundfont, patch or individual samples, you know, the keys, hammers, return, bell...

Better freeware, if not, a cheap one.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Cheers!

Reviews seem positive. Free download if you register there, and it's a dot edu.

The sample also sound like it could be sliced easily into individual samples.

I can attest for Sounddogs.com -- I've never been disappointed with any of my purchases there--great quality and everything.

You can also buy a real vintage Smith Corolla typewriter for very cheap on ebay. And you'll be able to type in real-time with multiple velocities, with or without the machine-gun effect

The problem is the very cheap ones does not have real sympathetic resonance between keys.

I am very excited about the release of your Steinway, Gary.

    Cheers!

I still have a vintage typewriter in the garage. I think get it out and record it in 16 velocity layers for each key, 4 alternations per layer, legato transitions, and an impulse sample from the body of the typewriter for maximum realism.

If Gary would license his Sonic Morphing to me, I could make millions!!

Here is Maestro Jerry Lewis performing a Typewriter Concerto with Orchestra.

Maybe a typewriter library may be a good idea after all.

I just recently sampled a typewriter... it's not exactly an ancient typewriter, but it's about three decades old.
