    Re: It's time for - Challenge #14 -!

I seem to have the opposite problem. Whether writing or composing, I can't put something down and leave it unless I can't find anything wrong with it, so it takes me forever to finish a work. However, when I'm finished, I have virtually no editing to do. I'm typically very succinct in my compositions, so I find fleshing them out rather difficult.

What to think of the opening notes of Beethoven's Fifth symph? Those few simple notes expressed everything he wanted to say. The rest is pure explanation.

One more week to go before the Sunday 19th deadline. PLENty of time for the talented folks here in the Garritan family to come up with their own unique versions of this little ditty.

So keep those post cards and MP3s comin' in folks!

I am sooo sorry, but my time allowed me not to compose for this challenge...

    Gunther says:

"...my time allowed me not to compose for this challenge..."

Just too busy with a certain German Marching Band piece ala Octoberfest I would guess? (those who don't get that--go to The Listening Room and hear Gunther's great new post!)

Everybody else - I'm Stoked to hear what you've come up with working with the simple little folksy ditty I wrote for this Challenge!

2 days left before the deadline! -If you work with ALACRITY* -you could still start an arrangement and finish it in time!

Alas my Alacrity is depleted as I have run out of time - too busy earning a crust at the moment to do more than comment on others' music.

So many musical ideas and so little time...

So, just to clarify, Randy or Sean, when exactly on the 19th are Challenge entries due?

    Thanks!
