Thanks for such a great theme Randy. This sounds like it will be much fun to fool around with. The reason i think that is I'm already foolin around with it and I'm having much fun.

Excellent, DZComposer, I hope you follow through with the threat and submit an entry!
Thanks for letting us know you're already going to town on the theme, Leaf. I want to tell you that I really hesitated to offer up such a simple little lullabye kind of melody, so it's reassuring to know that at least some people are happy to be working on it.

Randy, I'm happy some people said this to you, and that you decided to go with simple, i was also having trouble with those last few. The more advanced and chromatically gifted here will like to have some more of the more difficult challenges, which is great, and listening to results is amazing, but a humble diatonic every now and then is definitely appreciated, or even something that is in some key.Originally Posted by rbowser-

Normally I am, but now I am struggling with orchestration in general, reading, listening, and all other things. I am disappointed, because I cannot get the sound I want, in spite of numerous try-outs, experiments, copying existing scores of famous composers (parts of them).Originally Posted by rbowser-

Besides that I am not feeling well, lately. Somehow my bio-rhythm got a bit mixed up....... So sorry, guys. Forgive this old dude for not being alert on things.

We forgive you Raymond. I'm praying for you to get well and to feel much better, back in the groove again. Try some vitamin B6, B12, & Folic acid combo and see if that helps. I works for me, gives me energy, and i also read it's recomended for students studying.

Ditto what David "Leaf" said - I guessss we can forgive you for missing out on Challenge 13. I knew you were busy with a big pile of research, but didn't know you've been under the weather. Get in shape my friend! We need some more romantic Raymond music around here - the sooner the better!

Not at the moment.... quess what? I'm busy setting up Sonar for Challenge #14!!!!! I will be quite weird, some very strange rarely used instruments from that GPO library. Combinations? I won't tell you.Originally Posted by rbowser-

Thanks for the challenge, Randy! This is a great theme, and I've enjoyed playing with it.
I think I may enter for once....![]()
Good luck to everyone~
That's good news, David - Very cool to hear that this simple little lullabye (well--in its pure form) is offering fun ideas for you.
But let's change that "...I may enter..." to you ARE entering! OK, it's a done deal.![]()
