Piano and String Melody in Eb

Piano and String Melody in Eb
MP3 file (Right-Click and Save as)
It is piano and string (GOS/GPO) composition in short version (1:32 duration) track.
Just for fun, I found a pretty Melody by Randy
Bowser, which is called Challenge14 something...
Thank you for listening, comment is greatly welcomed!

This is a very nice melody on the piano. Go for it to make it larger.

Well done, but as I understood, if this is for the Challenge#14, you should send it in only and NOT presenting it first to this room, so that people can vote for it without knowing who sent it in.

    Good morning, Long!

That has to be the prettiest, dreamiest and well-played waltz I've heard in quite some time. The piano line is gorgeous, and the chord progression and harmonization throughout is simply wonderful. Excellent work!

And oh my, what a pretty theme-- OH Wait a minute, that's the little theme I wrote for the current Challenge #14 event!

I was confused when I first read your post, because I wasn't sure if you understood the theme was meant for the recurring Challenge event which runs on the General Discussion Forum. And as Raymond pointed out, the idea is for all the entries to be heard at once, without names attached to the various versions.

But then I read the rest of the thread, and I see that you have yet another version which you'll be entering into the contest. Well, good!

I suppose if someone else was working on a Romantically inclined piano version of the theme, they may be having to adjust their plans after hearing this - or not.

In any case, it's great to hear your sure, confident and thoroughly musical piece this morning - It was quite a surprise, and a very delightful one!

    Long:

Very nice piano sound and a flowing melody. Makes you want to waltz....

    Enjoyed your arrangement.

LouisD and Jack, thanks for the positive comments!

Randy, thanks for the pretty words!
Your melody is simply beautiful and impresses me, where I get excited to do the arrangements!
Sorry about the confusing, I should make a noticed clearly that this song is not the contest. Hope that you don’t mind it posted here!
I just finished the Challenge14 contest (different track) and sent it to Sean by last week...Please count me in!

Lovely arrangement of this, Long; there's almost a
turn-of-the-(last)-century feel to it, but later blended
with more modern idiom. Very nice work on this!

    David,
    Thanks for the interested comments!
You are right about the mixing style and the feel in piano arrangement!
I have influenced in a few of famous composers in last centuries, but meanwhile, I listen and perform to the modern music very often.
I really wanted it be much in the Romantic/classic feels as possible, but then the Waltz by itself suddenly fooled me into the exciting movement naturally that I didn’t even notice.
    Just for fun,

    My best,

    Long
