How to trigger keys 4-octaves below played notes?

    Hi all,

Is it possible to set K2 up to trigger keys 4 octaves below the played keys? It seems you should be able to do this with general K2 programing (without a script) but maybe not.

What I want to do is trigger the keys 4 octaves below and then set them up as keyswitches.

    Any info would be appreciated.

Couldn't you directly use the keyswitches you want to?

    Thanks for the reply Hannes,

Yes I can but it would make the midi programing so cumbersome and confuseing that it would be very difficult to work with. What I want to do is have the last note played key the next sample played, sort of automatically.

    Cheers,

So, you want a scenario like this:

    Hit C5.
By hitting C5 it also plays C1.
    Hit B8.
When you hit B8 it sends B4 too.

    Or like this?
You want to play C5, but the tone coming out of Kontakt is the one mapped to C1?

    Or?
You play C6 and it sends C2 to kontakt, where C2 has already been mapped as a keyswitch. This gives you two ways of selecting this particular KS.

Any of these would be a very quick script to make, and if that's the route you want to take, I'm very happy to lend a hand.

    Hi Reegs,

Wow, that is a very generous offer and I greatly appreciate it. I think your first scenario is the correct one.

    Check your PM.

    Thankyou
