IMO the Pettinhouse Direct Bass & Guitar libraries deserve a plug- great sound and there is a super deal on offer at the moment!

I'll second that notion! I just bought the Direct Guitar 1.5 library. After playing the demo version for a week, I knew that I had to add it to my collection!

If you're looking for a bass library and checking out what's out there, be sure to include the recently released ManyBass from ManyTone music: http://www.manytone.com

There are audio demos and more detailed specs on the product page.

I for one use Pettinhouse's much more than Studio B... but of course it is a matter of taste..
But it's true that the current price makes Pettinhouse a no-brainer

If I were the developer of one of those, I might be that definitive.

    To confess the truth,
I'd have to say that it is this very "definitiveness" from the developer which led me into wanting to keep this statement a bit more "balanced".....
I don't know how to put smileys here, but if I could, you'd find 3 "winks" here !

Direct bass is 4GB and costs $99.
Direc bass lite is 378MB and costs $69.
10% of the content but 70% of the price. Why anyone would buy lite over the normal version is beyond me.

Great price for the full library though.
