It's Time for Garritan Orchestration Challenge #15

Hi Folks,

As winner of the last Challenge, I’m delighted and honored to supply the theme for the 15th Garritan Orchestration Challenge! I tried to keep the theme flexible so that it could be set in multiple genres. I’m hoping everyone will feel right at home using their favorite tools as their composition takes shape.

The standard Challenge rules apply as outlined on Sean’s website: http://www.wizardwalk.com/OrchestrationChallenges/index.htm and the target length for your composition should be around two minutes. I’ll defer to Sean for the submission deadline, but typically the composition phase runs about five to six weeks so you’ll have plenty of time . . . . that is, if you start soon.

Hi Everybody,

Sean has proposed October 14th [2007] as the deadline for Challenge #15. That's sounds good to me . . . how does that sound to you? Unless the group feels otherwise, I recommend we go with his proposal. Sean, just so we're all on the same page, what is the official deadline time and time zone. [Are we a global community, or what?]

It sounds good, but i'm afraid i will probably have to pass on this round as i have commited to submitting a work for the Christmas CD. I would have loved to have been able to do one for this challenge, because the melody is the best. Still possible yet looking unlikely, but if not, i will certainly support this challenge round by listening and voting.

Yes indeed, there's a lot going on this time of year! See how things go and who knows, you might get a stroke of inspiration that you'll find irresistible. Regardless, it will be great to have you involved in the listening/voting phase!

Hmmm--I don't know if I can squeeze in time for an entry this time or not. Very possibly I won't have time. But I prefer to keep it hush hush when I enter anyway, so nobody'll know for sure if I'm represented in the entry list later on.

I hope lots of people enter And that lots also slow down a bit so they can listen and vote later on when the voting thread is started.
