Question Sibelius: weird note positions when adding a second voice

    Hi,

When adding a second voice to a bar, the voice 2 notes are not positioned above the voice 1 notes, but in between the voice 1 notes, like they have another rhythm.

Does anyone know how to remedy this? I must be doing something wrong.

    Thanks!

The rules for note positioning are not quite as simple as you make out. Please attach a jpg so that we can see exactly what you are trying to do. Also check that you are in fact using voices 1 & 2, and note another combination. For example, voice 1 should be above voice 2, not as you state.

That's it! I was trying to add a voice above voice 1! You have to flip voice 1 en 2 first, making the lower notes voice 2..

    Thanks a lot, Daryl.

I'm glad that it was something so simple.
