    Sonar 7 has been released

Take a look at the official feature list posted on the Cakewalk forum:

The MIDI editing enhancements sound really cool, especially the multistrip controller panes.

    Thanks for the heads up.

It does indeed look good. I have ordered the Producer Upgrade.

Their cakwalk.com store doesn't show what are the system requirements. That should be the very first thing you come to, right beside the price.

Hmmm. No upgrade from the Cakewalk Pro 7.0 I bought in 1996. Oh well.

You beat me to the punch. I was going to post a message called "Darn you, Gary. Sonar 7 to include Garritan Pocket Orchestra".

GPO is now included in so many products that I end up re-paying for it every time I update something. Sibelius 5 has GPO, Finale has GPO, Sonar has GPO. I fully expect that the next time I buy a new dishwasher, it will come with GPO.

    Congrats, Gary.

You might be able to get the upgrade for Registered Cakewalk Customers, which will shave $170 off the price. I would just call them in Boston and ask nicely. I did a similar thing many years ago.

    Good luck,

    Richard,

If I eat my East dessert first, then which direction should I turn to next? I lean toward South but tend towards the North. I hear West is the best (where Arthur's at rest).

O "Pucklechurch!" Thy name is great!

    - just playing around a bit.
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.
