    first paying gig!

    Hi everyone,
just want to toot my own horn a bit and let you all know to look out for a new documentary about Patti Smith. It should be in some theaters soon and probably a film festival or two, and then later on PBS. I got my first screen credit, "additional music by..."
It's a really great film and anyone with the slightest interest in punk, rock, Patti, or art and pop culture since the 60's will find it interesting. I'll let y'all know when and where it plays as soon as I know.

I didn't use and GPO. Sorry.... would have if I could have, but the music was for shakuhachi and taiko drums and some electronic stuff.

I'm working on a clip to upload to my site if anyone's interested
    thanks

    Congratulations Greg!

Hope it leads to more and to great success.

What libraries did you use for the shakuhachi and taiko drums, if you don't mind me asking?

    thanks for the comments everyone.

    Leaf-
I looked all over the place for a good shakuhachi sound until I finally found it right under my nose on my Alesis Fusion synth. I combined it with a little bit of analog modeled flute to cover up the loop points and it worked incredibly well. The client was convinced.
The drums were from a Roland HPD-15 Hand percusion unit. It as actually a mixture of taiko and a bunch of other big drums and timpani.
    cheers

Good job! Congrats. Keep at it!
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.
