    By Popular demand...

Due to suggestions about "fixing" my realization of WALTZ OF THE FLOWERS,
here's an attempt to adjust. I'm not totally satisfied with it, but
I raised the reverb; adjusted dynamics, and strengthen melodic passages.
    Thanks for all the suggestions.

Still a couple of problems, especially extreme scratchy sounds. It's painful to hear that. The reverb could stand a little more. I think your recording volume was up wayyyyy too high because it sounds like when it recorded that the equalizers little bar thingys were up past the red. I don't know if you know what i mean. Try turning it down.

    Hello again, Gary

oh my - I tried to listen and appreciate the work you put into doing a new mix, but I'm afraid I'm strongly concurring with Tuba. Right from the start you have the meters in the RED - Hear the distortion?

It's easy enough to pull your faders down and mix again with the tweaks we're wanting to hear. Right now, it's so much digital peaking out that one can't listen.

Sorry pal - Really, it won't be a lot of work to turn things down. And take a good critical listen before you feel it's OK.

I thought that it was just my system that this happened to
    three year old E machine
    GPO Sibelius Edition (now Liberated!)
    GPO Personal Orchestra
    GPO Jazz Band
2 Classic Guitar Degrees (or so I was informed)
    Not a lick of sense!

    Ditto.

It's an easy fix, though, Gary; just pull down the overall volume.

On this 12' Powerbook (pre-intel) after i updated to kontakt player2, but before i raised the ram size to 1.25 gig and got rid of some programs that i didn't need, my finale scores were sounding like that if large orch... or actually if more than about 4 or 5 instruments. They would sound scratchy like that during playback and if saved as a wav.

I'm beginning to think that the playback I hear is softer than in actuality. I qwill adjust and try again .
    Thanks to all foe listening.

Hi Gary, this is definitely just a clipping issue, particularly with the organ samples I think. It might be that your overall levels are good but the individual instruments are clipping in kontakt. Worth a check anyway.
