    Hairpins Cresc

    Hey,
Just lately i've needed to use hairpins in my orchestrations.
    But the dont work!?!?
I can adjust the volume using p pp ppp f ff fff EXT.
But i cant get a smooth volume increase/decrease from note to note.
I use sibelius 4 and GPO.
    If anyone can help?!?!

Hi, Dan - I hesitated to reply because I don't use Sibelius. But to see if I could get you some info, I looked all around their site - No specific info that's apropos.

But - it seems to me that what I've heard people talking about is having to Program their hairpins so that GPO will respond to them. That would be assigning cc1 to the hairpins.

Isn't there a menu somewhere to assign how the library responds to the various symbols and commands?

Are you using the Sibelius crossgrade? That's the program that will let Sibelius talk to GPO and put in all the mod wheel messages. If not, you have to use the crsc/dim plug-in. If we had a little more info, more help might be on the way.

Have you posted this on the Sib site?

    Thanks guys!
I found a Plug-in option which seems to work in Sibelius but the computer i am using at the moment doesn't have GPO loaded on it, It is on my other competer.
    Untill then.....
Thanks again (my scores might be a bit more interesting now!!)
