Mozart Symphony no.39 in Eb Major K543

Since this is the long weekend, I decided to produce a rendering of an entire by Mozart, No. 39 in Eb Major, K 543.

    http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...?bandID=638943

This symphony, along with no. 40 and no. 41, were finished in just a bit more than six weeks in 1788. These were Mozart's last symphonic works and are considered to be his finest.
This symphony's majestic opening Eb major tonic chord is comparable to the composer's own Magic Flute Overture and Beethoven's Emperor Concerto, while the light finale is Haydnesque in character. The key of Eb major would later become associated with Beethoven's "heroic" works.

Now for my next rendering, please suggest me which of the following I should work on:

    1. Mozart Symphony no.40 in g minor
    2. Mozart Symphony no.41 in C major
    3. Beethoven Symphony no.5 in c minor

    wow
Sounds real to me. Great job

My 2nd favorite composer is Beethoven, so that is where I place my vote.

Then your favourite composer is Mozart?

Very nice rendering! Sounds very true to life. Mozart could write a thing or two, huh?!

Is it just my setup, or is the volume level of the recording generally very low?

I'm hugely impressed that you did all this in just 3 days.

    Thanks for sharing

I haven't even began to listen, and I know this is gonna be good, because it's Mozart, and you can't screw up Mozart. It's practically inconceivable. You did far better than a few professional orchestra's I've heard. It's no London, but it creams JSO. Awesome render.

I've been listening to each of the four movements over the
last several days, kanazo, and have just now finished listening
to to the finale -- my heavens, what an undertaking!

And a superb job on this... fine interpretation and rendering of
    one of Mozart's greatest works.

    Much applause!

I have listened to this on your soundclick page before you announced it here, and man you have it right down.

I wonder why there is not much more comment. Your work would deserve it.

    kanazo,

It's so nice to hear someone that actually make the work sound the way as it was intended to and not just splashing the notes into the computer and calling it good. And your use of the GPO in the rendering is outstanding. Well done!!!!

I don't know if I want to hear Beethoven as much as the other Mozart works. The 5th is way overdone...be different!

I did changed my mind regarding the pieces I'm doing next, now the list looks like this:

Beethoven-"Eroica" Symphony No.3 in Eb major
Dvorak Symphony No.7 in d minor
    Mahler-Symphony No.9 movements 2-4

And yes, I do think 5th symphony is overdone, more so than third. The other reason I give up on it is because the rendering of three note opening motif troubles me...I think it's almost impossible to do it "right".
