    Hi,

I'm completely new to all this so please be patient, i would like to get the sound from my (yamaha digital piano) out of the computers monitor speakers, the piano is connected to the computer via a (UX16 midi interface cable) the speakers play great music from the computer with all CD'S including windows media player, i'm reaserching and working hard but with all the terminology and being a beginner it just does'nt get to the point, im "sure" i have a sound-card but how do i get the sounds from the piano, what cables do i need, and were do i connect, any tips..

I know the yamaha P90 keyboard has both phono and 1/4" audio outputs so yours may be similar. As Tom said, a cable with two phono plugs to one stereo 3.5mm jack plug inserted into the line in of your sound card should do the trick.
