    CoMB-sarrusophone.

    Hello friends,

I am experimenting with CoMB and there I found a very great bass-sax instrument, the sarrusophone.

Here is a little example where the sarrusophones are used. There are two soloinstruments in the library and I have used both.

My arrangement and mixing of this great spain march "Espana Cani" is not ready! Here I have mixed the sarrusophones a little bit louder..., just for you to hear this great old instrument.

Please no comment about the mixing, because the arrangement and so the mix isn`t ready... .

Great instrument, and a great arrangement. I look forward to the release of the full piece.

    Hi, Gunther

To use one of your favorite words, COOool!

I'll admit I couldn't remember having heard of the Sarrusophone before I got CMB. It has a great sound - I included it in the grab bag of brass I used on my first CMB experiment, the Star Trek post awhile back.

Thanks for boosting the Sarrusophone level in this so we could hear it's unique timbre. And I can tell your recording of "Espana Cani" is going to sound really nice, so I look forward to the finished project!

    Gunther,

Heheeee...I saw the instrument there but have not had the right piece to test fire it with. Glad you did us the honors.

Randy, you need to work this beast into Dorian somehow!

    Thanks Randy and Gary!

Randy, "cool", I probably took over this word from my 2 daughters....., they are 13 and 16.

In our language "cool" means: great, interesting, big..... .

    Thanks again!

This may be a spanish march but with this instrument it feels like Oktoberfest. Line up the pints and lets get at 'em. Good timing and a nice way to show off the sounds.
    Well done

    Gunther,

I love that instrument. It would be cool to have one, i bet you could rattle the whole block with it.

Very nice piece to introduce it to us, looking forward to hearing the finished one.

Seriously, I wonder how many people even know what a sarrusophone is. Match it was a couple of baritones and French horns and see what you get.

CoMB may help revive a much neglected instrument.
