Hummie Mann Nominated for Educatonal Acheivement Award

Hummie Mann, an Emmy-award winning composer and a fellow member of this forum, was honored with a nomination for the Don B. Ray Educational Achievement Award which is a special award category in the newly created Film and TV Music Awards.

Don Ray created the first film scoring extension program at UCLA that Hummie participated in as a student in it's first year of being offered. Hummie then went on to join the faculty of that program for a number of years teaching a variety of classes. Don Rays's program and the success it enjoyed was part of the inspiration that drove Hummie to create the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program - using his program as a model, he developed his program that has been taught in in Seattle, Edinburgh, Copenhagen and China over the last 10 years

FYI, the website of the Academy is: http://www.filmtvmusicawards.com

Congratulations Hummie and may you have many more successes.
