    Hidden Meadow

Continuing in a pastoral mood, I now offer HIDDEN MEADOW for chromatic harp.

This piece is a musical remembrance of the pristine green patch of Heaven on which I spent so many hours reading poetry and composing music.

Oh, what a place that is!

    Hi, Sean

I remember well your previous musical offering here, and I want to say that it's been far too long.

You're back with a beautiful Harp piece. It's evocative of the hidden meadow where you've read and composed I see--I hope you're still able to go there?

Have you noticed that the Harp's lower notes can build up and get a bit boomy? I think perhaps the amount of reverb you've used has made that effect more pronounced, or perhaps a little bass roll off in the recording would smooth that out.

Very pretty - Thanks for taking me to that magical hidden meadow.

    Sean,

Lovely work...obviously inspired by real life experiences. This is a really fine harp presentation too. Thanks for sharing it here.

    Re: Hidden Meadow

Fine work for the chromatic harp, Sean; idiomatic and
    well handled in the rendering.

And -- quite a lovely composition as well, with some
meat and substance to it. I would think harp players would
take real interest in this; and I would ask you to give serious
consideration to getting the score to this ready, out there,
    and available. Inexpensive online printing/publishing
outfits like www.LuLu.com make this fairly easy to do,
    these days...

    My best,

    Sean:

A wonderful harp piece. Has all the characteristics of
what a harp should sound like in a tranquil setting.

    Very nice work.
