Why did I write such an ucharacteristic (for me) piece? I don't know, but here it is.
These days in your country/state are quite upset, so that must the reason.Originally Posted by rwayland

I expect that you mean where the melody is in the bass, and the right hand is playing the block chords? I meant that to be very soft, but it is possible that I made it too soft. I will investigate it soon as I have some more French Roast coffee.Originally Posted by Raymond62

His son was evacuated, but returned home next day, and it appears that the fire is now somewhat less virulent.
I thought it was a very introspective piece. And I say that not really knowing why I said it. That's just the way it strikes me. Nicely done. I like it.
Spooks! - The Movie
This is a great piece, Richard ! Eventhough you did warn us that this is "uncharacteristic" of your music, I was still pleasantly surprised with the beauty of this. It still has your uniqueness. I love this. Thank you !

A tonal piece from you. Well generally anyway. It sounds nice. A nice inventive approach (the interaction of the two hands). Nice job.
Uncharacteristic? This has got Wayland written all over it, my
friend -- I would know this was you inside of the first four measures.
(Okay, okay; maybe eight... lol.) For those writers who truly do
have a unique style, a genuinely individual way of thinking about
music... perhaps that simply cannot be obscured, no matter intent.
I do not think that this is uncharacteristic? I think it is beautiful.....even some of the left turns you take in the middle......I just think every once in a while you need to do something a little different than your used to so that what comes next will be just that more important......

Not a lick of sense!
Very Mellow and it turns oneself inward. Then just past middle there seems to be a bit of anger in there. Just for 5 or 6 bars. Neat!! Then back again to introspection.
Nice little piece!!
