    "Seasonal Duo"

Here is my first try at using my new NI Audio Kontrol 1 with Finale, KP2 Notation instruments. Nothing fancy, just experimenting.

I'm impressed with how life-like this sounds. It's pretty amazing.

Some great jazz harmonies and voicings from Topper Drive! Loved this, sos... thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, Sos ! - And looks like you've worked out the tech problems you were having recently?

What a juicily lush arrangement. Wow.

--The strings sound like they're pumping, as if cc Legato isn't being used? Hear what I mean? - the attack keeps happening.

The reverb is laid in much more thickly than I prefer, it's a quirk of mine. I'd rather be closer to your virtual orchestra.

EDIT - adding something I forgot - The volume level seems very low, Sos. I had to turn my speakers up way past what I usually do. I think somehow you've rendered this extremely low, far too much head room left at the top.

    But, Nice!

Wow! That sounds swell, Mr. Steve! It's a huge improvement over the sonic quality of your previous files.

Thanks for posting this fine chart.

    Gary S, Danny W & Randy B
Thank you for listening and your comments.
Randy: how do I get to and/or use this "ccString' thing? I agree with you about the reverb but I can't seem to find a good setting because I am not familiar with the terminology. Any short tutorials (with clear & easy diagrams) will be appreciated.

I'm going to delve into the GJBB with a Jazz Ensemble chart next. Wish me luck.

Steve, the arrangement on this is just downright gorgeous.
Not that I'm surprised, coming from you... that's generally
    the case!

Technically, the reverb's a little "hot", to me. Try perhaps
a bit less "wet" and a little shorter on the "tail" part of it.

If I remember rightly, you're using Ambience with Finale?
If that's the case, it always defaults backwards of what
it should be -- mostly wet and not much dry, when it should
be the other way around... which kind of clobbers articulations
and gives a rather vague overall sound.

    My best,

Great arrangement. I’ll agree with Randy that I ended up cranking up the volume to hear this, other than that it was very enjoyable.
