    A Different Tangle

    A little different, but only a little. Although it makes use of some tango patterns, it is not quite a tango. This was written simply because I seemed to be in contact with a brick wall, could not proceed with what I hand in mind. So, as a distraction, I did this thing. About 4 1/4 minutes of GPO piano.

    Tangles

    Well thank you. The Scorch file may not be up until Monday. Hard to predict.I expect to upload it tonight.

    Your site says "Do not use Scorch 5, as that is the source of the trouble, and Sibelius is working on a correction."

    If you click on any song at Sibelius it asks you to download the newest, but it never downloads... but i see how to do it now, you say no and then it takes you to the song.

    No hurry, i'll just check back later in the week.

    Hit that brick wall when ever you wish. This is a delightful jaunt into a world of make believe. Webs of intrigue all tangled up into knots of skepticism and deceit.

    Loved the ending. Actually I would love to see those low notes extended for a bar or 2 before the end.

    Well done

    Hi Richard,

    The first word that comes to mind when I hear this is deliberate. I like it. It's really intense! It forces the ear to listen continually and your expansion on the motives is so impressive!

    I don't know exactly what you are up to but I have my suspicions.

    That's what makes it fun to listen to.

    An intriguing and slightly unsettling piece, my friend;
    but very much enjoyed... especially the subtle blessings
    of the tango infusing it. Hallmark Wayland, certainly;
    and yet -- this seems to have a demeanor to it richer
    and fuller than many of your works.

    Forthwith, I shall see about shipping you additional
    brick walls... they definitely agree with you.

    I thought the rendering on this was especially good,
    by the way, Richard.

    My best,

    Hey richard. Another interesting piece. I have to admit that I have a difficult time with music that is so far from tonality, but that is my limitation on appreciation. I do try to catch the 'flow' of the music. Thanks for posting.
