EQ, Dynamics and Spectrum Analyzer VSTs

I'm looking for some good EQ VSTs and Dynamics VSTs. I've been using what comes with Cubase Studio 4 for quite a while and it seems very limiting to me. Is there something in the $200-$400 range that would be better? I'd also like a good spectrum analyzer plug-in so I can see the frequency levels on certain tracks. Any recommendations?

You might consider iZotope Ozone, which is an all-in-one mastering plugin that does everything you just described. iZotope makes very high quality products; they've got some amazing algorithms.

Zircon Studios - Original music for media, electronica, sound design, and synthesis.

For the spectrum analyzers, i like very much this one: AG Works Sonogram. It´s freeware, but very nice.

The IIEQ Pro is a fantastic VST EQ at any price you wish to pay.

Voxengo offers a great spectrum analyser - SPAN - that also happens to be free.

    Nugen also offers great analyser.

Dynamics choices really depend on program material. Two of the best VST.

I was looking at Ozone about a year ago and it does look very good. I heard it's very resource intensive though. The matching EQ feature looks pretty cool. Huh, I didn't realize they have a demo of it. I guess I'll try that out and see how it goes. Thanks

I can recommend Ozone 3 and Nugen Audio, too.
