    First of What

Well, this is a case of "This is the sort of thing I would write if I wrote this sort of thing". There may be two more movements. Then again, maybe not. Recorded with GPO Steinway, Fatar, and Sonar.

Once again you take us a little trip that goes here and there and ends up where we started. Not sure how you do that, but it works.

    Well done

I know what you mean by your first sentence – although this is more tonal than usual, there is no mistaking who wrote it. You should surprise us all by making the second movement a choral. Whatever you do for the next movement (or two, if that is what you write), I’m looking forward to hearing it.

Well, now that is indeed strange. I have already written 8 bars or so of part two, and it is almost choral in nature! So far, it could be sung by almost any choir (if it had words). At this point, I am not positive about the rest of it. It is just a gelatinous mess floating around in my skull.

A tuneful atonal but still not easy to keep track of.

I sure would like to hear a choral next.

Richard, you finally got me had on this one -- most unusual,
I would not have figured this for Wayland.

Though I must admit, your techniques are abundantly evident
throughut the piece, regardless of its much more traditional
    demeanor, otherwise!

    My best,
